Usually the lowest magnification of a microscope is 40x. Sometimes you
need a lower magnification, e.g. to take a picture of a larger part of a
slide. This is what I use this objective for. It fits any microscope
(at least made by Amscope) since it has a standard mounting thread.
However one has to be aware that it cannot be used with any microscope
because of its focal distance. For example it cannot be used with an
Amscope PZ-300T (originally equipped with plan achromatic objectives)
but works with a M500 (achromatic objectives). Plan achromatic
objectives have a much larger flat field than the achromatic ones, but
work at a larger distance from the stage.
